TL;DR: Don't abuse the bot, don't use it for anything illegal, and respect other users. Pretty simple.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By inviting GuardBot ("the Bot") to your Discord server or using any of its features, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please remove the Bot from your server immediately.
2. Description of Service
GuardBot is a Discord bot developed by Nitro Community that provides:
- Server moderation tools (banning, kicking, muting, warnings)
- Anti-nuke and anti-raid protection
- AutoMod features (spam detection, link filtering, mention limits)
- XP and leveling system
- Economy system with virtual currency
- Giveaway management
- Ticket and support systems
- AI-powered chat features
- Web dashboard for server configuration
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use GuardBot, in compliance with Discord's Terms of Service. By using the Bot, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use GuardBot to:
- Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users.
- Distribute illegal, harmful, or objectionable content.
- Attempt to exploit, hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Bot's systems.
- Use automated scripts or tools to interact with the Bot in unintended ways.
- Spam commands or intentionally overload the Bot.
- Impersonate the Bot, its developers, or Nitro Community staff.
- Use the Bot's economy or giveaway systems for real-money gambling or fraud.
5. Server Owner Responsibilities
As a server owner or administrator using GuardBot, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring the Bot is configured appropriately for your community.
- Monitoring and managing moderation actions taken by the Bot.
- Informing your server members that GuardBot is in use and may process certain data.
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
6. Bot Availability
- GuardBot is provided "as is" without any guarantees of uptime or availability.
- We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes at any time without prior notice.
- We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently suspend the Bot's service.
- We are not liable for any damages resulting from Bot downtime or unavailability.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- GuardBot and Nitro Community are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Bot.
- We are not responsible for actions taken by the Bot based on your configuration (e.g., auto-moderation bans).
- We are not responsible for data loss, server disruption, or any other negative outcomes.
8. Intellectual Property
All code, design, branding, and content related to GuardBot are the intellectual property of Nitro Community. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Bot without explicit written permission.
9. Termination
- We reserve the right to deny service, blacklist servers, or revoke access at our sole discretion.
- You may stop using GuardBot at any time by removing it from your server.
- Upon removal, your server's stored configuration may be deleted within 30 days.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal action.
