TL;DR: GuardBot only stores the minimum data needed to run its features. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with third parties. You can request deletion at any time.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how GuardBot ("the Bot"), operated by Nitro Community ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Bot in your Discord server or interact with our website at nitrocommunity.lol.
2. Information We Collect
GuardBot may collect and store the following data:
- Server (Guild) IDs — To identify which server configurations belong to which guild.
- User IDs — To track moderation actions (warns, bans, mutes), XP/leveling, economy balances, and giveaway entries.
- Message Metadata — Message counts and timestamps for anti-spam and XP systems. We do not store message content.
- Channel & Role IDs — To apply server configurations (log channels, welcome channels, staff roles, etc.).
- Moderation Logs — Records of moderation actions (who was warned/banned/muted, by whom, and the reason).
- OAuth2 Tokens — Temporary session tokens when you log in to the dashboard. These are encrypted and expire automatically.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected data solely to:
- Provide and operate GuardBot's features (moderation, leveling, economy, giveaways, etc.).
- Apply your server-specific configurations.
- Display your servers on the dashboard when you log in.
- Prevent abuse and enforce server rules via automated moderation.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard encryption.
- OAuth2 session cookies are encrypted and expire after 7 days.
- We do not store Discord passwords or full access tokens permanently.
- Access to stored data is restricted to the bot owner/developer only.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. Data is only accessed by:
- The Bot itself for feature operation.
- The bot owner for maintenance and debugging purposes.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
- Server configuration data is retained as long as the bot is in your server.
- When the bot is removed from a server, configuration data may be retained for up to 30 days before automatic deletion.
- You can request immediate deletion of all your server's data by contacting us on Discord.
- Individual user data (XP, economy, warnings) can be reset upon request.
7. Children's Privacy
GuardBot is not intended for users under the age of 13, consistent with Discord's Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of the data we store about you or your server.
- Correction — Request corrections to any inaccurate data.
- Deletion — Request complete deletion of your data.
- Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
